Parents and Pastries 2025-2026

Hello, all!  We hope that you will plan on attending the PTA's annual Parents and Pastries event on TUESDAY MARCH 3rd!

All parents are invited to come to school with your children to read and celebrate the connection that we gain as we read together.  We love that this also happens around Dr. Seuss's birthday each year, so we include that as part of our theme!

Doors open at 8:15 and students are excused at 8:35 to go outside to line up before the school bell rings.

Things to note:

  1. Your child(ren) really will love to have you read to them during that 20 minutes, but if you are not able to attend, there are volunteers on-site from our local Fire and Police Stations to read with your them!
  2. You do NOT have to bring your own book(s), but you can! Blankets are fun if you want to bring one, but please know that we are all pretty packed into the lunchroom, so finding a spot to sit can be a bit tricky.
  3. A BINGO card will be sent home with every student before the event. This is ABSOLUTELY optional!  My own children LOVE completing the reading ideas on the card each year and it is 100% just for their enjoyment.
  4. Macey's Murray has GENEROUSLY donated doughnuts for us to pass out that morning!  We appreciate their support immensely! We hope you'll come ready to enjoy a doughnut along with your books! (Consider bringing a small packet of baby wipes to help with messy hands) 😊
  5. PARKING IS DIFFICULT.  If you plan to attend, please know that we scheduled this for 8:15 to allow for teachers to get into their parking spots first. You may need to plan to park at different locations and or walk in if that is at all possible for you and your family.
  6. THANK YOU to Sarah Sly and Natalie Stoddard for the work that they have put into making this happen!  We also appreciate Shayla Page for securing the donation of doughnuts from Maceys!
